A little about me.................
Capturing the moments in life that matter has always been my passion. I have always had an eye for those raw and natural moments in time that seem to slip by and fade from our memory too quickly. My camera has never been far from reach. In 2004, when I was 30, I delivered my first baby, a little girl. It was the hardest thing id ever done but also a wonderfully breathtakingly beautiful day. We were blessed with a baby, a most treasured gift and I had become a mum. Bliss! I had been looking forward to that day, to that moment, my whole life. My camera was the last thing on my mind. How could I forget? I was that person who was going to get the best photos of my new, very fresh little bundle......but it didn't happen and I missed the moment. Birth Photography was unheard of then. What I would give to have a timeless reminder of my husband’s face the moment he laid eyes on our new little girl. Or, a photo of my baby girl the moment she laid eyes on me! All squishy and soft and bruised and battered from her journey into this world. I have returned to the Delivery Suite three times since that day, each time with the same amount of excitement as the first.
I am completely in awe of the birthing process. There is something magical and majestic about being present when new life is born. The abundance of love and energy in a delivery room is life-changing and capturing that moment in a photo is simply .....heavenly. xx
